There was the time before Tessa met Hardin, and then there’s everything AFTER... Life will never be the same. #Hessa

Tessa is a good girl with a sweet, reliable boyfriend back home. She’s got direction, ambition, and a mother who’s intent on keeping her that way.

But she’s barely moved into her freshman dorm when she runs into Hardin. With his tousled brown hair, cocky British accent, tattoos, and lip ring, Hardin is cute and different from what she’s used to.

But he’s also rude—to the point of cruelty, even. For all his attitude, Tessa should hate Hardin. And she does—until she finds herself alone with him in his room. Something about his dark mood grabs her, and when they kiss it ignites within her a passion she’s never known before.

He’ll call her beautiful, then insist he isn’t the one for her and disappear again and again. Despite the reckless way he treats her, Tessa is compelled to dig deeper and find the real Hardin beneath all his lies. He pushes her away again and again, yet every time she pushes back, he only pulls her in deeper.

Tessa already has the perfect boyfriend. So why is she trying so hard to overcome her own hurt pride and Hardin’s prejudice about nice girls like her?

Unless…could this be love?

I decided to read the book, “After” after I saw it in the movie theatre with my friend. Although some parts were cringe worthy, I did enjoy it due to its interesting post twist at the end of the story. This is an amazing romance novel that I enjoyed reading! I am now onto the next book, all thanks to Anna Todd’s intriguing stories of Tessa Young and Hardin Scott.
  • Worst $12 I’ve spent

This is the worst $12 I’ve spent in my life. And to think it cost that much for an ebook… Not only is this “book” riddled with astonishing editorial errors, it sends a bad message to young girls—that sex equals love. Also, the author’s personal insecurities and opinions are painfully obvious on nearly every page. Anna Todd even made the main character, Mary S—uh, I mean Tessa—look like herself. Even TWILIGHT is better—and cheaper, too. Think about the enormity of that statement.

Sick and tired of authors who cannot complete a novel but just want to make money from readers frustration. This should have been one third it’s length. So much repeated and annoying behavior from poorly developed characters. I’m sorry I bought this book and don’t plan to waste my money on the — what — 4 follow ups. Don’t be suckered in by deceitful authors and publishers!!!

Terrible writing. No character development. Worst book I have ever read. Don’t waste your time. Not even worth the steamy sex scenes - which are also terribly written.

Honestly I feel like some people don’t truly understand the meaning of this book. It’s not teaching girls to be in an abusive relationship at all. I think some people just need to read it again and pay attention to the details. I love the book and the movie I think it’s worth the money. I feel like it also educates is teenagers about young love
  • Too much violent drama

This book was redundant, always him destroying property, being mad, drunk, emotional. If my guy acted like this I would put him in a loony bin. The next book is not better either... oh well I’m too the next, hopefully this’ll next read has a plot that isn’t so weird.
