Maggie Newberry is a whip-smart advertising copywriter who’s fast on her feet and a little stunned to realize that she’s over 30 and still hasn’t found true love. When her long-missing sister ends up dead, Maggie flies to the south of France to find the little niece that no one in the family even knew existed. Along the way, she finds handsome, sexy Frenchman Laurent Dernier to help search for the girl. Meanwhile, her sister’s murderer sets his sights on the little girl—and Maggie.

I couldn't believe or care about any of the characters. Every character felt more like a shallow and exaggerated caricature than a real person. This is basically a cheap romance novel fantasy with the connection to France as a gimmick. If you are looking for a mystery or crime fiction don't bother with this book.

Susan Kieran-Lewis hooked me into this delightfully crafted mystery in the first sentence. The plot was complicated enough to keep the reader guessing who the villain actually was.

Very good a lot of reading between chapters! I enjoyed it throughly but hated that I have to get another book to continue reading.... When I thought this was part of the first book!

Every book in the series has a plot twist you don't see coming. Characters are so relatable and the mystery is always present. A book series you won't be able to put down!!
